Sheep

Enn, Teen, Tether, Feather, Fimp...

Our first four sheep were named Een, Teen, Tether and Feather. They were "bummer" lambs that we got from Sam the Sheep Man.
We bottle fed all four, so they were truly our "babies."
From these four we established quite a heard, with Een being our ram. These got their names from my friend Mj who taught us to count this way... Een being "one." Later, we discovered the origin of this method of counting... the Music Man script. Later sheep were named accoring ly until we got to ten. Then their names varied. We sold our sheep last year, all of them. Our sheep are a Suffolk cross. They are raised as meat sheep, but they have to be sheared every year. Here is a photo of our sheep being sheared.

There is a funny story about this. One time when we were having the sheep sheared, Een, our ram and the biggest of them all knew what was up and he tried to hide. Below is a picture of that moment. It was extremely funny to watch him do this.
Een... Teen... Tether, Feather, Fimp, Tatter, Ladder, Pole, Lieber, Dik...
